I stopped in here looking for a specific item. They didn't have it, but the three employees who tried to help me in the brief time I was in there were really phenomenal. One lady advised me two other places to go in my search. They were so friendly that I just had to post a review. Everyone who got ice cream seemed really pleased. I had planned to get ice cream there after dinner, but was just too full. I think I really missed out on something.
We always stop into the Beaufort General Store when we are in the area. This little shop has a decent selection of tourist apparel and souvenirs. They also sell locally made fudge and ice cream. (although I don't know if the ice cream is local). The staff here are friendly. The only complaint I have is that the prices are a little high, but no higher than the other tourist shops in the area.
The kids love to get ice cream here. Fudge is usually pretty good as well.
I went in to buy gifts for my son's family in Pennsylvania. I am pleased with my purchases. I was excited to see books for children about Christmas in North Carolina. My granddaughter will love it. Great shop for all kinds of gift ideas.
