My son and daughter in law recently had a beautiful wedding and reception at the Beaufort historical site. It was great for a wedding of 100 guests. They had a large tent and dance floor for the reception. Bathrooms were available in the visitor center. The ceremony was done in front of the old court house.
Beaufort is a very nice and historic town. Many historic buildings and sites and many nice shops and restaurants.
Quiet, peaceful relaxing day. Great walking around town, people from town very friendly. My only. complaint is the drivers that almost ran us over 3 different times while crossing the street in crosswalks. One driver missed me by inches. So heads up people, don't make the mistake thinking they will stop for you.
We came for a wedding. This tiny place (Plimoth Plantation used for scale) was cute and staffed by friendly volunteers. It would be interesting to see some of the programming that takes place when no wedding has overtaken the site. Parking was easy.
Always a fun place to visit. Take the bus tour of the town and learn about the history of Beaufort.
