Absolutely amazing! My wife and I went on multiple tour with this company and plan to come back for more. The Shakleford ponies were beautiful and I was astonished by the at how much the tour guild actually loved them. It truly made the tour. Make sure you bring water and sunscreen because there is very little shade on the island also wear sandals or shoes you don't mind getting sandy and wet. The Ghost Walk was a little less exciting for my wife but just a extremely riveting for a history buff like me. The guild was dress to almost match the time era he was speaking of but the historical tales he wielded were interesting and humorous. I laughed when he pulled his sword on a couple of cars as we crossed the road. The only thing that would have made it better is if he would have had a personal PA system so we could hear him when he was in the front of the group, however he did a extremely good job of move thru the group so everyone could hear when he stopped to talk at particular areas. The shop was awesome and the owner was very knowledgeable about the NC Piracy life. Everything in the store was reasonably priced and they offered complimentary bottles of water before the Ghost Walk. All in all a definite 5 star recommendation for anyone that can walk. I really couldn't see a stroller on the tours it just wouldn't work well.
I went and did my first paranormal investigation, and even though a skeptic would go back! You actively participate and there were times where I literally felt very intense emotion and my senses were heightened. We were a small group of only 6 and it was a blast! Also, the guides and staff were all really nice and great to be around! A must do!
Had a great time with my friends, all of the kids and the couple from Henderson, NC (we actually have family from there). Clayton " Captain Otway Burns" was a fantastic guide! Great stories, he kept you engaged and we even had a few laughs.
A large group of us took the ghost tour tonight, we had a lovely tour guide named Grace. The walk itself was beautiful and learning the history of some of the old homes and the old graveyard was great. We had several preteens with us that were engaged with the presentation the whole time. I highly recommend this tour.
The tour guide that took us around the town was very knowledgeable, funny, and engaging. Loved hearing about the ghost stories in the history- rich old buildings of the town.
