Mysterious moss-covered place, with graves from before the Revolutionary war to modern times. Pamphlets from the box by the gate tell some of the stories of those buried here. Ancient twisted trees, resurrection ferns and wisteria vines make it a bit of a garden.
Very interesting and historic cemetery. Beaufort is a nice old historic town well worth a visit.
Ocean Side Paintings , painted the sides facing the graveyard. Great place to see historical sites.
Very interesting place to go and visit. The history in this place is amazing. Be sure to pick up a brochure at the front gate, if there are no copies available you can download it on your phone to read about all of the numbered graves for a self guided tour.
It was cool to see the old headstones and also read little back stories on some of the people buried there.
